Yesterday, I went to Waipahu, and the old McDonald’s location which is now a car dealership. The playground is still partially intact and I felt super nostalgic since my mom would throw my birthday parties at this McDonald’s when I was a kid. She chose it cause of the playground, and it was good times with my friends, and the playground was so amazing. I wish I had pictures from back then. Now it’s a faded memory of what used to be. But, also comforting that it still exists.
I’m not really happy with my pics from today. I’ll have to go back some time and try again.
As a person feeling somewhat in limbo, commitment to long-term plans tend to be challenging. One thing I’ve committed to, however, is the i365 group on flickr. In truth, it’s been inspiring to pick up the camera again, even if it is an iPhone. The aim of the group is to upload one iPhone photo a day. I chose this as a project to take me through 2011, and the hope is I’ll have a page full of 365 photos at the end of the year and a feeling of accomplishment. I’m not sure if the picture has to be taken on the same day you upload it, but I’ve managed to upload a photo taken on the same day, every day, for the first 9 days of 2011. Not always an easy feat for me!
